The United States, located in the North American continent, is the most militarily and economically powerful country in the world with an economy of approximately $31 trillion.

China is the second largest economy in the world with a total of about $18 trillion and has the third most powerful military in the world. Located in East Asia, this country shares its border with about 14 countries.
China has only 76 km of border with Afghanistan while it has 3488 km of border with India. The border between China and Mongolia is about 4630 kilometers, which is China’s longest border.
The length of America’s border is approximately 12,002 km while its coastline is approximately 19,924 km. Whereas China’s land boundaries are about 22457 km, the length of its coastal line is only 14500 km.

Military budget and countries area
The US Military is the most powerful and dominant Military in the world. America spends about 878 billion US dollars on its army.
This military budget of America was only 705 billion US dollars in 2021, which has increased to 878 billion US dollars in 2025.
Even if the military spending of China, Russia, India, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Japan, France, United Kingdom and South Korea, Ukraine is merged, the US has the highest military spending.
The world’s largest country is Russia, whose area is about 17 million square kilometers. China is the third largest country in the world with an area of 9.5 million square kilometers. America is the fourth largest country in the world with an area of 9.3 million square kilometers.
In terms of military spending, China is the second country in the world which spends approximately $245 billion on its military.

There are approximately 1,350,000 lakh active personnel in the military of the United States of America while there are 450,000 lakh reserve military personnel.
The US military has 45,000 armoured vehicles, 1,300 artillery guns, 8,000 battle tanks and 1,350 rocket projectors.
China has the largest military strength in the world. The Chinese military has 20 lakh active personnel and about 5 lakh reserve personnel.
The Chinese military has 174,300 armoured vehicles, 1,400 artillery guns, 7750 battle tanks and 3250 rocket projectors.
US and China Air Force Power
America and China are considered to have the most powerful air forces in the world.Both countries have 5th generation fighter jets.
America has fifth generation fighter jets like F-22 and F-35 while China has 5th generation fighter jets like J20 and J36. Apart from this, both countries are also working on 6th generation fighter jets.
America has approximately 2700 fighter aircraft, 5400 helicopters, 2700 trainer aircraft as well as an entire air battalion of 1000 transportation aircraft.
Whereas China has around 1600 fighter aircraft, 913 helicopters, 288 transportation aircraft, 400 trainer aircraft as well as an air battalion of 116 other aircraft.
At present there are only three countries in the world that have bomber aircraft. America, China and Russia are the countries that give place to bomber aircraft in their air force.
Where America has B2 Spirit stealth bomber, China has stealth bombers like H20 and H6. Russia has stealth bomber aircraft such as the Tu-95.
US and China :- Naval Power
The naval force plays a very important role in the US military. With 11 aircraft carriers, the US Navy dominates the entire world.
The US has the world’s largest aircraft carriers such as the USS Gerald R. Ford which can deploy around 75 aircraft and accommodate around 4,500 naval personnel.
Along with being the world’s largest aircraft carrier, America has a total of 11 nuclear power aircraft carriers, which makes America the most powerful navy in the world. Apart from this, China currently has three aircraft carriers and now China’s fourth aircraft carrier is under construction.
China has about 66 submarines, including 12 nuclear submarines. Of these 12 nuclear submarines, there are six ballistic missile submarines and six attack submarines.
America has a total of 70 submarines, almost all of which are considered nuclear powered. America has approximately 14 ballistic missile submarines and approximately 53 attack submarines.
US and China :- Missile and Nuclear capacity
Russia and America are the kings of nuclear weapons in the whole world. 88% of all nuclear weapons in this world are with Russia and America only. Russia has approximately 5450 nuclear weapons while America has approximately 5277 nuclear weapons.
China has around 600 nuclear weapons which is far behind America and Russia.
America has an intercontinental ballistic missile named Minuteman III whose speed is approximately 24000 kilometers per hour and its range is approximately 13000 kilometers which can reach any corner of the world and it will hardly be possible to stop this missile because its speed is very high.
China also has an intercontinental ballistic missile named DF-41 whose range is about 12000 to 15000 kilometers and its speed is about 25 Mach i.e. 31425 kilometers per hour.
Conclusion
Both China and America are the most powerful countries in the world and also have the biggest economies.
But if we talk about military matters, America has 11 aircraft carriers which are nuclear powers, whereas China has only three aircraft carriers. While America is ahead of China even in terms of fighter jets.
China with a population of about 1.4 billion is the second largest country in the world in terms of population whereas the population of America is only 32 to 35 crores.
