Ever since Balochistan declared itself independent, it wants support from India. Balochistan says that India should support Balochistan diplomatically.
Some experts believe that India should take care of many puzzles before supporting Balochistan against Pakistan.
This fight for Balochistan is not going on from now but it has been going on since 1948 when Pakistan occupied this region after the accession of Kalat State. From then till today this rebellion has become completely bloody and chaotic.
This rebellion, which has been going on since 2005, is being supported by tribal leaders, underground militants and activists of Balochistan.
Many leaders of Balochistan live abroad but want to get support for Balochistan at the international level.
Pakistan is investigating many militants who live abroad as well as in Balochistan, is assassinating them and is exploiting them somewhere or the other.
Due to this, a contradiction is arising between the Baloch leaders and Pakistan and this rebellion is increasing.
At a time when there is a conflict between India and Pakistan, Balochistan supporting India and seeking support from India is a serious issue.
Although India has always expressed its concern over the human rights violations in Balochistan, but openly supporting such activists in neighboring countries is not right for India’s strategic and diplomatic condition.
The leaders of Balochistan are hoping that just like India supported Bangladesh in 1971, in the same way India will support them in liberating Balochistan.
Therefore, it is also possible that Balochistan has supported India in the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan and praised the work done by India.
India has not yet given any such indication of supporting Balochistan but still many Baloch activists want to meet the Indian media and meet the Indian leaders to make them aware of their policies.
Should India pay heed to this response?
Diplomatic experts of India say that India should avoid interference in the Balochistan issue and also said that directly supporting Balochistan at the global level can be a serious reference in diplomatic conditions.
Balochistan’s leaders have been trying to build rapport with India for years, but India has not yet to offer them open support.
Why has India not yet openly supported Balochistan?
It is very clear that Balochistan is not Bangladesh because when we helped Bangladesh in 1971, at that time a lot of genocide was happening in Bangladesh due to which many Bangladeshis came to India as refugees.
India faced an economic crisis, only then India intervened in the internal matter of Bangladesh because India had a valid point.
Here the case of Balochistan is different because Balochistan does not share any border with India. Balochistan does not have a unified leader and it does not have a unified military.
The population of Balochistan is also less and none of the population of Balochistan is entering India.
Just like Kashmir is an internal matter of India, Balochistan is also an internal matter of Pakistan, so supporting Balochistan here means giving Pakistan a chance to raise the Kashmir issue at the international level.
So just like we do not want to give anyone entry on our internal matter, similarly if India supports Balochistan, then Pakistan will take the Kashmir issue to the international level, due to which India has no benefit at the diplomatic level in supporting Balochistan.
Relations between Iran and India are fine right now. India has built a port in Iran called Chabahar Port through which India sends transport to Afghanistan.
So if we support Balochistan, then somewhere we are also angering Iran because Iran is already against supporting Balochistan.

Direct support to Balochistan by India means bringing Pakistan and China closer. Balochistan is important for the China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
China sees this support from India in Balochistan as a threat to its investment in Gwadar and what will happen is that the military cooperation between Pakistan and China will increase and their intelligence will also increase.
At the ground level, Pakistan has completely destroyed the Baloch movement and its unity.
Although there are some groups like the Balochistan Liberation Army, Baloch Liberation Front and United Baloch Army that continue to carry out attacks and protests from time to time, their movement still lacks support.
India always gives a balanced support to Balochistan while paying more attention to the atrocities and human rights violations being done by the Pakistanis in Balochistan
When Pakistan raises the Kashmir issue at the global level, then India neutralizes it by raising the issue of Balochistan on the global level to expose it.
India has a restrained approach towards Balochistan
India has adopted a balanced and restrained approach towards Balochistan although India has a lot of evidence to expose what Pakistan does in Balochistan but openly supporting Balochistan means giving free hand to Pakistan to take the Kashmir issue to the global level.
America has not yet come out in support of liberating Balochistan and in any case America considers the Balochistan Liberation Army a terrorist organization. India will also have to look at the viewpoint of Iran and Afghanistan before supporting Balochistan.
