The Air India flight which was going from Ahmedabad to London in Europe had about 232 passengers and 10 crew members. After taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai International Airport in Ahmedabad, the plane went to a height of about 625 feet and crashed into the ground, causing a huge loss of life.
This plane crashed and fell into the doctor’s hostel, due to which the passenger and crew member along with the doctor staying in the hostel also died.
Can fly up to 14000 kilometers at a time
Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a long-range and reliable aircraft which is known for long distance and is designed for the same. It can fly up to 14000 kilometers in one go. This long-range and wide-body aircraft was included in the Air India fleet in 2013, which was serving Air India for about 11 years.
This aircraft can fly for about 40000 hours, which takes about 30 to 50 years to complete.
The price of Boeing 787 Dreamliner is around 2055 crores. This is a base model which can carry around 248 passengers. Apart from this, it provides a range of 13529 kilometers.
The length of this aircraft is approximately 56.7 meters, the width of its wings is 60 meters, its height is 16.9 meters, its fuel capacity is 126206 liters, its maximum speed is 954 km per hour.

The biggest feature of this helicopter is that it is a low weight and high fuel carrying aircraft. 50% of the structure is made of combined material which makes it light as well as helps in operation. With about 250 seats, this aircraft can cover a distance of up to 9800 miles.
The reason for the plane crash is not yet known. According to some aviation experts, there is a device called a black box in the plane which records every data of the flight, due to which every activity happening in the flight and the reason for the flight crash is known.
So today in this article we will learn about what is a black box and how it works.
what is black box?
According to the NTSB, also known as the National Transport Security Board, every airplane cockpit has a device that records the discussions between the pilot and the ATC, the activities taking place inside the flight, the noise of the engine, and the sounds in the cockpit, which is called black box.
There are two more devices in the black box, the first is the cockpit voice recorder and the second is the flight data recorder.
The cockpit voice recorder records radio transmissions, the pilot’s voice, the sound of the engine, and everything that is communicated between the pilot and air traffic control.
The flight data recorder included in the black box monitors the speed of the flight, its height and the speed at which it is flying. Apart from this, in new airplanes, there are about 88 such parameters which are monitored by the flight data recorder.
The flight data recorder also obtains information related to smoke in the aircraft and the wings of the aircraft.
The flight data recorder contains about 25 hours of information and the flight data recorder records the flying data before the incident which is very helpful in investigation.
Here I want to make it completely clear to you that the black box is neither black nor is it made of any black coloured thing. Actually the black box is of yellow or orange colour due to which it is easily found in the debris after the aircraft is damaged, that is why it is made of orange or yellow colour.
The black box is made of strong materials like steel and titanium which are not affected by extreme heat or cold and it is installed in the rear part of the aircraft due to which even after damage, the impact remains minimal.

The black box is mainly made up of four things, firstly, it has an interface designed to fix the device, provide recording and playback facilities. Secondly, it has a locator beacon.
Thirdly, this device made of stainless steel has a survival memory unit which has the capacity to withstand a force equal to 3400 times the force of gravity. Lastly, a recording chip is fitted in the circuit board.
What could be the reasons behind an aircraft accident?
In today’s modern era, aircraft are fitted with flight management computers and flight management systems which monitor themselves and can tell us where we might make mistakes.
Apart from all this, there are such devices which warn the pilot if he gives the wrong command or reconfirm the command given by the pilot whether this command should be sent forward or not. After all these systems, there are also pilots and co-pilots who control the entire aircraft.
There are mainly five reasons for the crash of airplanes. The first reason is pilot error, the second is that there is some technical fault in the aircraft, the third is that the weather has turned bad, the fourth is that the aircraft has been sabotaged or some deliberate tampering has been done in it or some manipulation has been done with the aircraft, the fifth is the error committed by humans.
Apart from this, there can be some other reasons like the ATC may have given some wrong instructions to the pilot. Secondly, it is possible that the flight engineer may not have completely rectified the aircraft’s defects. Thirdly, it is possible that the ground staff may have made some mistakes during fueling or some problem may have occurred in the aircraft during cargo loading.
